Bus Routes & Parking
All buses going to the Group Arrivals Building or the Visitor Center should enter on U.S. Route 60 (Bypass Road).
The bus waiting area by the Group Arrivals Building is for bus on- and off- loading—15 minutes only. Long-term bus parking is available northeast of the Group Arrivals Building and also on First Street off Capitol Landing Road.
After 5 p.m., Tavern bus parking is available on corner of Botetourt and Franklin streets.

Colonial Williamsburg and Penske Bus Service Center
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation provides free parking for tour buses and free use of its drivers' lounge for tour bus drivers. The lounge and parking area are located 1.5 miles east of the Historic Area on U.S. Route 60 at the Penske Bus Service Center, 7239 Pocahontas Trail.
The Penske Bus Service Center has a drivers' lounge with
- Free parking in a lot designed for parking motor coaches
- TV and comfortable seating
- Restroom facilities
- Full-service vending operations, featuring hot and cold entrées, hot and cold drinks, and snacks
- Kitchen and dining facilities with microwave ovens
- Direct communication links with The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's Group Arrivals Launch Desk
- Wireless internet access
The lounge and parking area are available without charge to all tour bus drivers from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.
Penske offers:
- A full-service bus maintenance facility for repairs and servicing
- Diesel fuel and gasoline
- A dump station
- A bus washing facility
These service and maintenance facilities are available Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-11 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
